The collection counters would be opened in the added areas said Dr.K.Gopal IAS, Managing Director Metro Water.

The Chennai City has been expanded to 426 sq.kms with the merger of 9 Municipalities – Alandur, Amabttur, Valasaravakkam, Thiruvottriyur, Kathivakkam, Madhavaram, Manali, Ullagaram, Puzhudivakkam, Madhuravoil. 8 Town Panchayats – Porur, Nandambakkam, Meenambakkam, Sholinganallur, Perungudi, Pallikkarai, Puzhal, Chinnasekkadu and 25 Village Panchayats. CMWSSB would be responsible for providing water supply and sewerage / drainage services to these added areas also.

All the arrangements have been made for collection of Water charges in the following locations. The CMWSSB has planned to open collection counters. The counters would start functioning from 02.01.2012. Details of the location of the counters in the added areas are given below:

The consumers can remit their dues for water / drainage charges in the collection counters mentioned above during all working days and working hours. In respect of consumers relating to Town Panchayats and Panchayats, consumers can pay their charges if payable to the Depot Managers (Revenue Collectors) and obtain proper receipt from them who are available in the concerned Depots. Theses consumers living in the erstwhile panchayats/ town panchayats can pay their dues either by in the form of D.D. or Cheque drawn in favour of CMWSSB. The Details of the Depots are given below:
