i) Consumer can collect the Prescribed Application form either in English or Tamil from the CMWSSB Head Office, all Area Offices and all Depot Offices. (or)

Sewer and Water connection charges

:

Sewer and Water connection charges can be calculated by the applicant themselves based on the built up area and category of the building. Details of connection charges for different categories of building such as residential and commercial etc. are given in the application form set itself.

Submission of Filled-up Application

:

Filled-up Application with necessary enclosures should be submitted only at the Registration counter functioning at Head Office of CMWSS Board, No.1, Pumping Station Road, Chintadripet, Chennai - 600 002. for scrutiny.

6)

Scrutiny of application at the Registration Counter

:

The official incharge in the Registration Counter will recommend to the bank by endorsing the applicant's filled up challan to accept the connection charges from the applicant whose application is found to be in order. Otherwise, applicant will be advised to furnish the same in order.

7)

Remittance of Connection Charges

:

Applicant has to remit the Connection Charges, only at the Canara Bank branch located in CMWSS Board Head Office campus.

8)

Registration of Application

:

Filled-up Application along with paid 'c' challan for the payment of connection charges and necessary enclosures should be registered at the Registration Counter.

9)

Acknowledgement

:

An acknowledgement slip recording the registration No., date etc. will be issued to the applicant at the time of registration of application and registered application will be forwarded to the Area office concerned.

11)

Sanctioning of application

:

On receipt of registered application. Area Engineer will sanction the service connection within 7 days from the date of registration and issue work order pending inspection based on the voluntary declaration of information furnished by the applicant in the application.

12)

Effecting water and sewer connections

:

1.Service connection shall be effected within 30 days from the date of registration after ascertaining correction of the information furnished in the application by inspection at site.

2.In case, the information furnished in the application are found to be different withe the actual condition at the site. The applicant will be informed of variations and such applications shall be considered for further processing only after compliance of procedural requirements by the applicant.
